The Audiovox range of flip down TV’s requires competent installation, for both electrical supply and for TV/Radio signal input. Both products are designed to be permanently connected to an electrical supply for the clock display and if disconnected the product will loose programmed channels.
When reconnected the TV will automatically go through its retuning cycle.

Doesn’t find any TV channels when you switch the unit on for the very first time –

When the unit is switched on for the very first time the flip down TV may well need to be set to AIR mode. If this is the case you simply need to switch the unit over to AIR (A is displayed). This is explained in more detail for the VE700E model on Page 42 of the owner’s manual and for the VE1020E model on Page 56 – Setting the Air TV Mode.

Installation recommendations

It is strongly recommended that in order to achieve a good quality picture and sound it is necessary to have a good aerial connection. Our TV’s products are like all other such products in that a poor aerial signal will give a poor picture or radio sound. You may even have difficulty in tuning in the channels on initial setup with a poor aerial. A coaxial Ariel lead into the set from a TV aerial will be necessary to give optimum quality viewing and if you are in a poor FM radio reception area it may be necessary to install an external aerial.

Magic Mirror

Design Glass "Magic Mirror"
Special Design glass with very good optical qualities, consisting of two single layers: a)1st layer: Special Mirror to implement the "Magic Mirror Effect". TV screen visible when switched on, Mirror only when switched off. b)2nd layer: Cover layer for protection from scratches or other surface irritation after your colour requirements, one colour after RAL spectrum.

Reflection: Please note that the reflection of the mirror and the transmission (brightness and contrast) of the picture is degraded about ca. 8-10% compared to other commercially used mirrors. This results through the layer and surface characteristics of the special mirrors. Because of utilisation of special laser technology in the manufacturing process in contrast to regular mirrors a slight dark surface appears.

Backside printed / lacquered glass after RAL colour spectrum with very good optical qualities.

Crystal Mirror
Crystal mirror with very good optical qualities, consisting of two separate layers: First surface: Metallic reflection layer (mirror film)Second surface: Cover layer for protection from scratches or other surface irritation.
